New Yoga on the Block
New Yoga on the Block
There’s a new and upcoming yoga class here in Ada, OK! It’s held at The Grandview on Main Street multiple days a week. This class is taught by Brianna Fulton, a student at East Central University majoring in entrepreneurship. She is proud health junkie. She began this class because she fell in love with the way yoga connects people and heals the body. She experienced severe pain in her back after a car crash when she was 17, but after finding out about all the health benefits from yoga, she gave it a try and it took the pain away.
After discovering her love for yoga, she received her yoga teacher training from Cantrell solutions and Gym 210, then began teaching classes at ECU for free and fell even more in love with teaching people about yoga. Brianna started her Grand Yoga Club Membership last year with The Grandview after talking to Brandy Kaeshoefer.
“It was one of the most awkward moments of my life, I ran into Brandy in the bathroom of Vintage 22 and we started talking about how I taught yoga classes at ECU and she told me to give her a call about starting classes. I couldn’t believe it all happened next to toilets!”
There are a variety of different yoga classes at The Grandview taught by Brianna. Her most popular class is sunrise yoga which is held in a spacious room with big glass windows to watch the sun on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:30 a.m. If you were to purchase a Grand Yoga Club Membership, you would get access to all yoga classes, a Monthly Discovery Bag, Gratitude candle at reflection yoga, and discounted acupuncture and massage therapy.
If you’re a student or a senior citizen, you can receive a discount on month passes and drop-in classes. You can find all this information and more on The Grandview Yoga page on Instagram or Facebook. They post the yoga schedules and any announcements or special classes such as Wine and Yoga. Of course this class in for adults 21 years or older, but she does teach other special classes like an upcoming Yoga Social (Night Brunch and Yoga) which is for all ages!
“I had never thought about going to a yoga class, but Brianna was in my sorority and she invited us all to come try it out. So I grabbed some of my friends to go with me and we loved it! It doesn’t matter what level you’re at, Brianna has all types of modifications. And you get a discount for being a student,” said Tiffanie Crawford, student at ECU and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha.
